About the game
Checkers is a traditional and inspiring game thanks to which you will have a great time playing with standing opponents: against the computer, in online multiplayer mode with people from all over the world or with friends. History has not preserved reliable information about the invention of checkers. It is likely that various checkers-type games have been invented many times and independently throughout the history of mankind, which was facilitated by the simplicity of the inventory and rules. It is believed that the currently known checkers-type games represent different stages in the evolution of games on the board, so that they are all related to each other in a certain sense, which is confirmed by the closeness of the inventory and the names of the games. How to play
Checkers is a logical board game for two players, which consists in moving checkers in a certain way along the cells of the checkerboard. During the game, each player owns checkers of the same color: black or white (sometimes other colors, one of which is considered dark and the other light). The goal of the game is to take all the opponent's checkers or deprive them of the possibility of a move (lock). Basic rules of the game: - All checkers participating in the game are placed on the board before the start of the game. Then they move along the fields of the board and can be removed from it in the event of a battle with an opponent's checker. - It is obligatory to take a piece that is under attack. - There are only two types of checkers: common and queens. At the beginning of the game, all checkers are simple. A simple checker can turn into a king if it reaches the last opposite horizontal row of the board (queen field). - The queens can go both forward and backward.
