Solitaire Josephine and the Forty Thieves

About the game

In this game you have to go through all the trials that were on Josephine's way to fame and success. The goal of the game is to collect all the cards in eight stacks, starting with aces and ending with kings. The cards are arranged in ten columns, each representing one of the forty brigands who obstructed Josephine's path. You have to stack the cards on top of each other in ascending and alternating suit order until all the cards are collected and all the bandits are defeated.

How to play

Josephine Solitaire: Solitaire uses two standard decks of playing cards, for a total of 104 cards. At the beginning of the game, 10 rows of 4 cards each are laid out on the Playing field. All cards are face up. The remaining 64 cards are sent to the Deck. There is room at the top for 8 main cards. The main cards - aces - are laid out during the game on top of the main figure. The goal of the game is to collect all the cards in a suit on the aces in ascending order. You can move ordered sets of cards of any length from column to column and from stack to column to suit in descending order. Forty Thieves Solitaire: The rules completely repeat the rules of Josephine Solitaire, with the exception that only the bottom, fully open cards of the vertical columns and the top card of the stack are playable. You can move cards from column to column and from stack to column to suit in descending order and only one card at a time.
