About the game

"Klondike" is an old solitaire card game. Played with one deck of 52 cards. The goal of the game is to arrange the cards by suit in order from ace to king into four piles (these are sometimes called basic, or "houses")

How to play

Klondike is played with a standard deck of 52 cards, no jokers. After shuffling, seven stacks of cards are stacked from left to right. Each pile begins with one card turned over. From left to right, another card is added to each pile. The first and leftmost pile contains one face up card, the second contains two cards (one face up, one face down), the third contains three (two face down, one face up) and so on. The seventh pile of cards contains seven cards (six face down, one face up). Four bases (light rectangles in the upper right corner of the playing field) must be filled with cards of the same suit from ace to king. Cards can be moved to other cards as long as they alternate colors. Any empty stacks can be filled with a king or a pack of cards starting with a king.
